1. Greetings from Peru, Lilita. It is a real pleasure to have this interview with you. How are things going with Ieschure these days?
Recently I have released EP “ The Mystic Fields” and single “ Evil spirit”.Now I am working on mix of my full length album.
2. Your latest work, The Mystic Fields was released this year. What was the response of people to this work? How do you feel with the result you got after recording it?
I think the result is good, otherwise I would not release it at all. I am very attentive to material I show to public. So, I am satisfied with reaction of people to this release too. This work differs from my first album “the Shadow” At the same time it is good and interesting in its own way. Also I made my first video clip for the song “In the Kingdom of Shades”, where I made a video montage by myself. It was my first experience in such work.
3. I find your music a whole experience that not only combines diverse musical genres, even outside Metal, but an artistic masterpiece. I mean, when reading your lyrics, they do not only fit your music so perfectly that it feels you are facing an honest dark chant full of obscure poetry. Is this what you look for when writing your music?
Yes, I try to pay a lot of attention to lyrics, and usually it the hardest part of song creation. Because firstly I need to make it fit the music, the main melody. And, of course, I try to feel what themes will be the best for a concrete song, to feel its soul, and to create lyrics that will discover it.
4. As I said in the preceding question, I consider you don’t only write lyrics, but poems. Do you like reading this literary genre? If so, who are your favorite authors and why? Have you ever thought of publishing a poetry book?
Yes, I like dark poetry. But I can not say, that I am a big fan of exactly this genre of literature. Firstly I like reading novels, for example of such writers E. Zola, F. Dostoevsky, J. Fowles. I like literature with complicated themes and a big potential of thinking about many things.
If to talk about poetry, I can say that an ideal of it is embodied by C. Baudelaire. Also o like lyrics of metal bands in various styles, for example "My dying bride". I got a lot of inspiration from these lyrics.
No, I do not think about writing a poetry book now. Long ago I wrote lyrics in my native language, but now I stopped this.
5. What brought you to occultism and witchcraft? Was music the one that took you to this trip or was there anybody outside the underground that introduced you to them? How did it occur?
No, music did not influenced me in my interest to occult themes. I was interested in them since I was a child. Maybe it was the influence of my mother and grandmother, because they were interested in such things too. We had a lot of various esoteric literature at home, we talked a lot about this. So I think, it was the main fact that introduced me to the world of occultism. I can not imagine myself without this, it became a part of me, my type of thinking is based on love to occultism, but of course with reasonable boundaries.
6. How much of them is part of your daily life?
I do not make some every day rituals or something like this. I do not use magic for solving problems that can be solved in “ earthy” way. I try to avoid to disturb forces just for fun or laziness. When I have complicated period if life, I use occult knowledge and forces for solving problem that can not be solved in common way. Sometimes I need an advise from forces that usually help me. I learn something new every day, read or analyze all around, check my feelings, signs with this reality. Spiritual world and earthy world are forever near each other and work together . They can not live separately. Usually, the needed information, advises come through various, even unexpected sources.
7. In many interviews you mentioned that one of the bands you constantly listen to is Burzum, but when listening to The Mystic Fields I can find some other musical styles that are not necessarily Metal as influence. What other types of music do you listen to? Do you consider yourself as an open-minded person musically talking?
I listen to all type of music, all depends on my mood at this time. I can listen to any type of music, but now I like mostly black metal, doom metal, punk rock and classical music.
8. Ukraine has been suffering a constant attack from Russia for over a year. How are things going in the city where you live? What are the perspectives and expectations people have there?
In my city all is quite well at this moment, because i live in the Western part of Ukraine, but all can be changed at any moment. I hope the war will not last during many years and Ukraine will not become a "gray” zone between Europe and Russia with eternal war and death. We lost here a lot of freedom because of wartime. If to live in such circumstances for many years, it will become like a prison. It is my own opinion.
9. In an interview you mentioned that you have a business in your city. What kind of business is the one you run there? How has the war affected both your business and you?
My main profession is a designer, so my business is related to design. At this moment war did not influenced it much, because it is about internet marketing.
10. Going back to music, from the moment Ieschure came to life, you have released a good amount of productions. You actually released Evil Spirit, a single, after The Mystic Fields this year. What influences you or inspires you to write your productions?
I think, it is all around me: life, people, my feelings, my thoughts, books, art of all kinds.
11. Your productions have been released in basically all formats. Which one is your favorite and why?
It is hard to answer. I think I like all formats, because each of them has its own pros and cons.
12. Let’s talk about The kingdom of Shades videoclip. What is the concept of it? What did you want to transmit with it and how much is it related to the lyrics?
I wanted to create some grim black white low fi video in style of raw black metal, but with some melancholic influence. I thought that this song should be the best for it. I think this video matches good to lyrics of “ The Kingdom of Shades” because it expresses all that atmosphere that is created by music and words. I can say I used a lot of visual metaphors in video illustrating what is in lyrics.
13. Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions, Lilita. Is there anything you would like to say?
Keep going your own way and believe in your own efforts to overcome all.
