In cold times as the ones we are living in the South, having the right music and the right drink is just something we have to thank. And this is, without any doubt, the right thing I needed for the moment. Aeon was initially released in 2010, which means the production I am reviewing is a reissue of the first demo Slovakians Aeon Wind produced and, being honest, it is well deserved. Aeon contains ten tracks plus a cover of The Cure’s A forest, all of them immersed into an Atmospheric Black Metal essence which easily captures your attention from moment one. The ambient and dark atmosphere is presented in an equilibrated way with the Black Metal parts, the ones which remind me of Emperor or Vociferium, although there are some dark incursions, which include clean voices, that resulted similar to a Moonspell feel. I spent the whole duration of the production just paying attention to the production while drinking something hot and enjoying every single moment of it. This was my first time listening to Aeon Wind, and it was a good one.
