Great start the one this production has! I am sorry, but couldn’t initiate this review without mentioning it. Aphrodia Okkulta from Germany brings us an EP made of four tracks that brings us more than what you could expect from just watching the cover or reading the band’s name, but a whole dark experience based on a dense, obscure blackened, almost doomy, Death Metal charged with synths that create all an ambient. Musically, this band/project, which has hired different musicians for each track, has known how to include different passages of musical experiences that lead you to visualize a complete evil movie in your head. The songwriting is impeccable, and what can I say about the instrumentation and vocal work?, all top level, which definitely make you want more and more.

I don’t actually know, at this point, how many times I have played this production, and I am not tired of listening to it. I bet it would have the same effect on people who like the early Paradise Lost to those fans of Behemoth or Lacrimosa. It is more than worth getting this EP.
