What a beautiful piece of music the one Swedish band offers us. Eldfaerd is, let’s say it, new band (it was formed in 2019, though) that has made the best debut they could have thought. What a compact 4-song EP masterpiece this is! Symphonic Pagan Metal with certain sparkles of Black Metal and  the correct and very wise use of folk instrumentation. This production does not only have a clean and clear mix and master, structurally, the songs are perfectly written to be enjoyed from the first to the last second. This is not boring, nor cloying commercial stuff, Eldfaerd feels real. The chants, the vocals and the spoken parts are made used in a way it feels they are telling you an old battle story over there, in northern Europe many centuries ago. I have to confess that writing these few lines took me an eternity not because it was difficult to do it, but because I was playing this production over and over again just sitting down, closing my eyes and letting this production take me wherever their music, and what they project, wanted to. Do I need to say more? I don’t think so. And I better turn this off before I feel tempted to play  Skymningsland one more time since it’s late at dawn and I have to sleep before going to work. Excellent production!
