Hordes of Defences “Decree of fate” (Independent)

What a magnificent surprise the one I got after pressing the play button. After having little idea of what I was going to find in this EP, it was just great! I tend to study the bands a little bit before writing something about or to them, and the only information I could get from Hordes of Defences, based on Metal Archives, was that they were a German duo who played Black/Death Metal, but it is jus way more than that. It is noticeable, in tracks like Like rotten trees that Hordes of Defences has some second wave Black Metal, but it mixes it with Doom as well. Similar to that, in the first tracks of the EP we can find Swedish Death Metal, and some Rock incursions as well. As you can see, it is not something purists would enjoy, but it is a production that is worth having and listening to.
