American one-man-band Lord of Horns presents us his second production, the one that is made of eleven tracks that are very suited in the Second Wave of Black Metal combined with certain atmospheric passages due to the usage of synths that accompany some of the bands most obscure parts. I liked the way The Forest at Dusk starts, the abrupt way the scream in the first track (the one that gives name to this production) breaks the apparent calm of its beginning, getting you in a sort of chicken skin mode was simply amazing, but from there on, there were very little moments that catch my attention. I don’t know if this happened because of the raw mix the production has, or just because I don’t find the songwriting is giving me something that excites my senses as it happens in some other Black Metal Productions. It is undeniable that there are certain tracks that have an interesting sound, tracks such as The Forest at Dusk, Ritual Hunt, Through the Woods or Nocturnal Crusade but as a total, there is still something missing for me.
