Forming a band is not an easy task. It actually takes a lot of time finding the correct people and agreeing aspects this musical adventure is going to include. Having a brand new band and working on an astonishing debut, taking care of details is even harder, and damn these British guys did know how to do it! Forming during pandemic, Mistborne is a new, really new, Symphonic, sometimes Progressive, Metal band who released their debut album late 2022, and it is a mind blowing one from the cover to the concept. The Cradle of time is a production that, once heard, you will hardly forget. Lyrically, this is a concept album that tells the story of a culture that loses its identity; although it may seem to be dystopic for some, it is a reality we can find in different parts of the world at first hand day after day. Dense, melodic, in someway reflexive, well written and with a great vocal work done, this nine-track production keeps you sitting enjoying what they are offering you. There are certain passages that remind me of Lacrimosa, but also at some middle-east songs, which, to be honest makes it not only interesting, but exotic.

Great work!
