The fact of having a sigil in his logo and a very interesting blue-toned and black illustration that depicts some demons and a Baphomet appearing from the darkness, in a surreptitious attitude made me feel curious about what I could find in this first production released by the one-man band Valhexen. I must be honest, there is a quite interesting songwriting that ensamble ideas in a coherent way, knowing where to add, or not, the keyboards and synths in the correct pitch and tone. The songs, being thirteen, are interestingly selected to make you feel a kind of progression throughout the album. However, as they are all instrumental, leave you with the sensation that there is something important missing: vocals, but why? Because they can complement the environment created by the instrumentation, giving it a more compact, therefore complete, sound.
I am not trying to be picky, but that is what I am finding and feeling after having heard this production.
